Hands holding a small Tree

Founded in 1972, Riverside House is a non-profit, faith-based organization committed to guiding people convicted of crime into becoming productive citizens. Our dedicated, caring, and compassionate team members provide counseling, life skills training, and vocational and pastoral care services to individuals who have chosen crime and fallen prey to it. We assist individuals in breaking free from the cycles of self-abuse, and return them to their families and society to live positive, productive lives.

Vision and Mission

Riverside House exists to guide people convicted of crime into becoming productive citizens. This will be accomplished by Community-Based Reentry, Community Outreach, Pastoral Care, and Aftercare/Outpatient Services.

To accomplish its vision and mission, Riverside House employs the following six values:

  • We believe in upholding the highest standards of moral and ethical behavior, and require this attitude of excellence to be exemplified both professionally and personally.

  • We believe in establishing an environment within our workplace and community that sets a moral example of servant leadership and partnership to improve the quality of life.

  • We embrace and support the rich difference of cultures displayed within our community and client population.

  • We believe in working together and sharing the responsibility of achieving the goal set forth.

  • We believe in exercising our faith and belief in God through prayer.

  • We believe in the deep-rooted value that states: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
